There is a reason why the things we eat are harmful to us and cause the body to break down; and the things God designed for us to eat, do us good and cause the body to operate properly.

In 1900, 20% of the population over the age 40 suffered from a chronic degenerative disease.... Since that time we have gained more knowledge about health and disease in all of history combined. America has the best doctor patient ratio in the world... one doctor for every 8 patients. Last year we spent 94 billion dollars on health care (so to speak) We have the most resources the most manpower going into medical science than any nation.

Using a little logic what should be the percentage of chronic disease today compared to the 1900? 70% of the population over the age 40 suffer from chronic disease. Why with all this knowledge are we getting sicker? We are looking for cures instead of causes. All doctors training is to deal with disease. Medical profession looks at the body in two states, either healthy or diseased. We don=t wake up one morning with heart disease or cancer. That body was slowly breaking down due to the wrongs they were doing. Our body is giving us all kinds of signals. We are just not listening to them. If your body has not broken down to the point of having symptoms the doctor says we are healthy.

If you take an aspirin and the headache goes away..... what was the cause... aspirin deficiency.  Drug therapy gives relief. It is like cutting wires on the fire alarm.

The body is giving signals.... we need to learn to listen to them. We are going to call this disBease. Symptoms are not the enemy. God created pain or symptoms on our behalf. When we have a symptom we need to say, this has happened because I have done something to my body and look for the cause.

We are individually responsible for our health. We need to educate ourselves.

Two reasons we are sick.....

One ..... we are ignorant. The way God designed the laws, whether we know the law or not we will suffer the consequences. (Gravity-it doesn't matter whether you know about it, understand it or believe in it; if you deny it you will suffer the consequences of violating it.)

Second reason.... laziness.   (It is easier to keep doing what we have been doing than to make a change.)

Why do we eat food?    Six reasons.

Glucose.... body makes energy

Protein....building structure

Fats...many functions of fats...produce hormones, carry minerals

Minerals.....catalysts... carry out metabolic reactions, think of them as chemical lubricants to help our body make energy and do all the many functions it performs

Enzymes (vitamins)......catalysts.....

Water

In all the food groups.... Fruits, and Vegetables contain all six of the above reasons we eat.

Now you see the difference between good food and bad food.       Junk food is missing part of the package. God allowed us to eat a junk food in Gen. 6.

So what.....everyone eats junk food, they don=t die, what consequence is that to our body?   Krebs cycle is a series of chemical actions that takes glucose and turns it into energy.   In order for these reactions to take place, what has to be present to lubricate these reactions?     Vitamins, Minerals, and Enzymes. They must be present in order for these reactions to happens. Otherwise these things just will not take place.       Let's role play.....heart receives glucose and says: "thank you, and I=d like to turn this into energy, but in order to do that I need some catalysts"......Liver:  "I didn=t receive any with the glucose" .......the liver is a gate to nutrition into the body, it is a food processing plant.......Heart: "But I need some catalysts to process the glucose"  so the liver goes to kidney, "Do you have any extra catalysts" .......off to the brain, the lungs..... all the same story, no one had any extra catalysts ...... finally liver knocks on the door of the bone..... "Do you have any extra catalysts" Bone: "no".... Liver: "But you see bones, we have a life threatening situation here, and I happen to know you can get away with less than ideal but the heart can=t. So let me borrow those catalysts (calcium) that are part of your normal healthy structure."     The body is stealing from Peter to pay Paul in order to stay alive.

Bones and muscles can do this for about 60 - 65 years before it shows up as a deficiency. In order to diagnose osteoporosis at least 60% of the mineral must be out of the bone.

Day after day we eat food that is robbing from other parts of our body in order to stay alive.

Enzymes..... made of protein, made by plant kingdom, catalyst lubricants. The canning industry did the most research on enzymes...... they knew that it was the enzymes that caused the foods to decay. So they studied to see how they could destroy all the enzymes to make their food last longer on the grocer=s shelf.

The ideal way to eat our foods is raw, they have the highest degree of enzymes still intact.

The average American goes 7 - 14 days without eating anything raw. The more money and intelligence involved in food preparation, the less valuable it is to the human body.

When we are born we have a certain amount of enzymes. Think of this as a bank account. Everyday we live we are going to burn enzymes.   You can either live off the account, or you can go get a job and add to this account daily.  If you just live off it without adding to it, what happens to your lifestyle through the years?   Through our raw food, we replenish the enzymes we use to digest our food. 

When we eat a raw carrot our digestive enzymes activate the enzymes in the carrot. The carrot then basically digests itself.  After digestion we will absorb the nutrients from that carrot, including it=s enzymes. Those enzymes will then go to the body to replenish both the digestive enzymes and the enzymes needed to carry the nutrients to the rest of the body. If you eat a cooked carrot, there are no enzymes in the carrot, so we are going to expend much more nutrients to digest that cooked carrot.

 Secondly there is no payback. So we begin to deplete the enzyme bank account. The body can borrow back and forth from different parts.   If you don=t have adequate enzymes to digest that cooked meal, your body will run up to the brain, the muscles, wherever.... and say we need enzymes to digest this meal..... so we become sleepy, weak.... because your enzymes are shifted from another part of the body to digest that meal.

We can replenish this account we have diminished through the years.  The first way is to cut out the foods that rob the body of these enzymes.

What is a toxin?  A poison.  A foreign substance that the body has no use for whatsoever and will cost us to get rid of it.   Caffeine is an outright poison. It only takes 120 milligrams for a fatal dosage. When those toxins come into the body it has to deal with them.   They don=t just pass through. Our body was never designed to handle toxins.   The lungs, when we breath in air,  the oxygen absorbs into the body, the hydrogen and nitrogen does not, but air pollutants will pass into the bloodstream, because the liver was not designed to handle toxins. God never intended us to breathe in toxins.

When toxins come in, the body will either eliminate them right then, (which will cost us vitamins and minerals) or it will kill us, or it stores it.   It will cost us rent or store them, to keep them in the closet. Everyday, we have to spend enzymes and minerals to keep them in the closet.

This will create a lowered vitality. Vitality is the cells ability to make energy.  About 2/3 of the energy you experienced today was made while you slept last night.   Americans function today mostly on stimulation.

By each year of adding these stimulants we are speeding up how fast we are robbing Peter to pay Paul.  Each year we have to up the amount of stimulants just to keep going.         Every two to four hours you have to add a stimulant to keep going for the next 4.

There are 5 main stimulants.... caffeine, nicotine, sugar, red meat, salt

If you don=t think these are stimulants, just stop taking them in for one day and see how you feel.   Your body will crave them.

Scientists are discovering that there is no reason for the body to fall apart. There was a scientist that did an experiment on a chicken heart.  He gave it the nutrients it needed and took away the metabolic wastes daily and after 38 years the chicken heart was still just as healthy as it was the day he started the experiment with no signs of ageing or disease.  After 38 years they tired of the experiment and just threw it away. 

Every time our body replaces a cell, the question is ...    is the proper fuel available to build a better stronger, healthier cell?   If not, the next cell will be less healthy, the next, less than that.   This is the aging process.  Add stimulants and you are speeding up the process.

PH is a measurement of how acid something is.  The body likes a PH of between 7-8.   14 is alkaline, 7 is neutral, 1 is acid.   The blood likes a PH of 7.4.

Everyday we live we burn alkaline to stay alive. When we say alkaline, we mean minerals.   They are used to build tissue and as catalysts.  The only minerals the body can use is organic minerals which is one that has an enzyme attached to it.   Only source we can find them is in the plant kingdom.  In order for the body to absorb a mineral from intestines to bloodstream,  it has to have an enzyme to carry it to the cell.   What happens if you pull alkaline out of the system?   (It is like having a heater in a swimming pool and each day you keep adding cold water, it makes it impossible to keep that water warm.) You are doing the same thing with your health, by continuing to put in foods that lower your PH and trying to stay healthy. 

Alkaline foods..... raw fruits and vegetables

Acid foods........refined sugar and flour, pasteurized dairy, white meat, red meat, salt, caffeine, drugs, medication, tobacco, and all processed and cooked foods

If you eat just one well done steak meal, just to neutralize that acid, it will take 9 meals of raw fruits and vegetables to balance the body.

How does the body maintain the PH in the face of this lifestyle?  The answer is, the body will go to the cells.   The blood goes to the cells because it is paramount that it remain alkaline.  However the cells can get down to 3.5 PH before they are so acid, therefore so inefficient, have such a low vitality level, that at that point they die.

Dis-ease starts when the body goes to even 7.2.   This is manifested in aches, muscle pain. The average Americans deal with this by adding stimulants, which makes them more acid, which means it lowers the vitality so they crave more and more of the stimulants.

The body is the same way, the more acid we become, the body is not as sensitive to these stimulants, in fact it starts craving them.

The way God put this body together, it only knows health.    The brain has a picture of health.  But because of mistreating it, the body cannot carry this out.   If the nutrition is not there, it=s not going to happen. You cannot build a house without materials.  As long as you are alive the picture is still there.  You have to remove the cause.   It is your own fork that is destroying your health.   First look at the negatives that you are doing.   It=s hard to give up our bad habits.

As we add more and more raw fruits and vegetables to our diet, the PH will start to go up, our vitality goes up and our cravings will go away.   We need to change our diet.  We need to drink fresh vegetable juice.   We need to supplement our diet with whole food supplements such as  BarleyMax.   The reason we need to supplement to get back to health is that the quality of the fruits and vegetables today are very poor, and there is a limit to how much you can eat.   The first priority of the food that you eat today, is just to get you through today.  At least you are not going into debt any more, but we need to pay back the debt.  Food supplements is what we need, not vitamin supplement.

The more man is involved in something God created, the more trouble we are going to be in.
